Glidden returns to Pro Stock E-mail

Legendary Pro Stock racer Bob Glidden came back to drive at the U.S. Nationals in the seat of one of Jim Cunningham’s Mustangs. He didn’t make the field, however, finishing in the 24th spot with a 6.703/206.10, right behind Cunningham’s other driver, Erica Enders at 6.673/207.62.  (Ron Lewis photo) [09/07/10]

SFI and Impact settle E-mail

SFI Foundation and Impact Racing announced in a joint press release that they have resolved their differences. Impact will remain a participant in the SFI programs in exchange for certain consideration and under revised contracts.

Impact agrees and accepts that the SFI specifications are state of the art and promote a high level of safety and performance in the auto racing industry. Impact acknowledges that in prior years it did not fully comply with SFI's specifications, however these problems have been resolved. The terms of the agreement between the parties are confidential. Personett wins Indy Pro Mod race E-mail

Ohio racer Brad Personett had a bunch of firsts at the U.S. Nationals. It was the first (as far as the Agent knows) turbocharged car to win an NHRA professional class, and it was Personett’s first NHRA Get Screened America win. Personett’s turbocharged hemi-powered Camaro also holds the speed record for the NHRA Pro Mods at 254+ mph.
